Lt. Governor Pat Quinn and the Illinois Affordable Energy Campaign are pleased to announce the Illinois Affordable Energy Plan. The Campaign now includes more than 20 community and religious organizations.

The Campaign aims to reduce the number of utility disconnections for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) households and also makes energy more affordable. The initiative includes a Percentage of Income Plan, which stabilizes the customer’s utility bills. Customers who voluntarily sign up for the Percentage of Income Plan would be required to complete a weatherization curriculum, and no more than 10% of their income would be assessed to pay heating bills.

If you are experiencing disconnected service, unclear bills or other utility problems please call Lt. Governor Quinn’s constituent services staff for help.

For more information on existing LIHEAP services please visit www.LIHEAPIllinois.com.
