Sustainable Cities Symposium

Over 270 local government officials and community leaders attended the Illinois Green Governments Coordinating Council's 2008 Sustainable Cities Symposium on Friday, October 24, 2008.  The full symposium program and speakers' presentations are now posted online.

Environmental Hero Awards

Each year, Lt. Governor Quinn honors dedicated environmental activists and organizations with the Environmental Hero Awards.  These individuals and groups serve as role models throughout their communities and across the state, helping other residents, businesses, and institutions to make their own practices more environmentally friendly.
