2009 Sustainable Government Symposium
The Illinois Green Governments Coordinating Council is hosting the fourth annual Sustainable Government Symposium on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Department of Agriculture Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.
The 2009 Sustainable Government Symposium will include morning speakers on green government initiatives and practices, an opportunity to network with colleagues during lunch, exhibits and displays by Illinois organizations and businesses, and the Green Government Awards ceremony after lunch.
Symposium registration begins at 8:30am, and the program will run from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Registration is free and includes breakfast and lunch.

2009 Green Government Awards
The Green Government Awards are presented annually to Illinois state agencies and departments in recognition of outstanding environmental leadership and innovative sustainability accomplishments.
The awards ceremony will take place at the symposium on December 11. Award nominations are due by Friday, November 20. Please refer to the nomination form for additional details.
