About Project ChildSafe

Project ChildSafe is a nationwide program whose purpose is to promote safe firearms handling and storage practices among all firearms owners through the distribution of key safety education messages and free gun locking devices.

Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn has partnered with Project ChildSafe, to better inform Illinoisans about gun safety and support the distribution of free gunlocks to firearm owners across the state.

To date Lieutenant Governor Quinn’s Office has helped in the distribution of over 90,000 gunlocks.
