Famous for being the only city named for Abraham Lincoln before he became president, Lincoln is rich in historic sites and diverse architectural styles. Walking and driving tours include the Christening site, Logan County Courthouse, Lincoln Public Library (Carnegie Library), Rustic Inn, Postville Courthouse, and many architecturally significant homes and churches.

Come stroll the nationally registered downtown historic district with unique shops and fine eateries. Relax in one of the many parks. Drive down Route 66. Enjoy the annual Lincoln Art and Hot Air Balloon Festival or the National Railsplitting Festival.

Visit the Lincoln College Museum, featuring an extensive collection of Abraham Lincoln memorabilia and the Heritage In-Flight Museum located at the Logan County Airport. Lincoln was home to William Maxwell, Langston Hughes, and Reinhold Niebuhr.
