Lt. Governor Quinn receives the Adlai E. Stevenson Public Service Award
CHICAGO - On Friday, May 9, 2008 at 4:00 p.m., the Greater Chicago Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration will honor Lt. Governor Pat Quinn with the 2008 Adlai E. Stevenson Public Service Award.
CHICAGO - Emphasizing the importance of bridging the digital divide in Illinois, Lt. Governor Pat Quinn will ask the Chicago City Council to consider a citizen ordinance that would use up to 10 percent of the city's amusement tax to make laptop learning a reality in every Chicago neighborhood.
RIVETING MEMORIAL FOR ILLINOIS’ FALLEN SOLDIERS
JACKSONVILLE - On Monday, May 5, at 5 p.m., Lt. Governor Pat Quinn will unveil the Portrait of a Soldier memorial exhibition at Lincoln Land Community College Western Region Education, 32 North Central Park Plaza, Jacksonville. The memorial exhibition, which has been viewed by thousands of people in more than 25 cities and towns throughout Illinois, is a series of hand-drawn portraits of more than 180 Illinois men and women who have died in service to our country since September 11, 2001.
SPRINGFIELD - Lt. Governor Pat Quinn joined with farmers, 4-H'ers and Master Gardeners Thursday to emphasize the importance of conservation and agricultural programs to the quality of life and economy of the state of Illinois and encouraged the immediate release of all promised funds from the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

The Polish Constitution is the world's second written constitution.
SPRINGFIELD - A national campaign to end cervical cancer is gaining momentum in Illinois, with Lt. Governor Pat Quinn partnering with the Conference of Women Legislators to distribute more than 10,000 informational brochures and awareness bracelets across the state as part of the Ending Cervical Cancer in Our Lifetime initiative of the National Lieutenant Governors Association.

Lt. Gov. Quinn, Andrew High School remember fallen heroes
(TINLEY PARK) - On Sunday, April 27, at 1:00 p.m. at Victor J. Andrew High School Auditorium, 9001 W. 171st St., Tinley Park, Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn will join with Andrew High School for the dedication of the school’s “Wall of Remembrance” and present the families of three fallen heroes with memorial plaques. The memorial wall is located at Andrew High School’s entrance and honors men and women from the Andrew High School community who have served or are serving our country.
