The Kickapoo State Park, located 10 miles outside of Danville, presents over 2,000 acres of land for hiking, camping, fishing, and biking. Kickapoo State Park has wildlife, ponds, hillsides and forests all visible from their numerous nature trails. All of the trails are well marked and range in difficulty. The Out and Back hiking trail runs almost 8 miles through the State Park passing through forests, bottomlands, and abandoned croplands. This State Park offers a wide variety of recreational activities and numerous trails that provide views of this beautiful nature site.
