Lt. Governor Pat Quinn will be joined by Consuls General of Latin America and Europe



At 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn will join Consuls General of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela to explore opportunities for international initiatives with the State of Illinois.

"I salute the Latin-American and European communities of Illinois for their dedication to promoting positive relations among the United States, Latin America and Europe through social, cultural and educational opportunities," Quinn said.

"We are proud of the Latin-American and European immigrants who have settled in the Land of Lincoln, bringing with them valuable traditions that have enriched the diverse culture of our state."

The photo opportunity will start at 2 p.m. at the Nomi Restaurant on the 7th floor of the Park Hyatt Hotel, 800 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago.
