Until recently the residents of thirty Illinois counties, including many in Southern Illinois, had no access to public transportation. Lt. Governor Quinn and the Rural Affairs Council championed key legislation that increased funding for downstate public transportation. Lt. Governor Quinn partners with Project ChildSafe to distribute free gunlocks across the state. Lt. Governor Quinn helped distribute more than 82,000 free gun locks at such locations as the DuQuoin State Fair and the new World Shooting Complex in Sparta. Find out more about Project ChildSafe here.
