It’s not a secret that the Metro East region gets very hot in the summer. To help elderly and other vulnerable residents cope with the summer temperatures, Lt. Governor Quinn created the Illinois Fan Club. In 2005, more than 1,000 free fans were distributed by community action agencies across downstate Illinois. Find energy saving tips here.
