Greening Main Street
The Greening Main Street Guide offers ideas and suggestions for community projects and programs that will help revitalize Main Street towns and build healthier, more environmentally friendly communities in our state. Illinois Main Street is a comprehensive community revitalization program that promotes historic preservation and economic development of the state’s traditional business districts. Illinois Main Street helps communities define their own vision and works with them to make that vision a reality.

IllinoisCarpool.org
In 2005, Lt. Governor Quinn launched IllinoisCarpool.org, a free online service open to Illinois commuters and travelers looking to share rides.
By using IllinoisCarpool.org, people across the state can reduce travel costs, foster a healthier environment, and enjoy a more pleasant riding experience. The service promotes shared driving responsibilities and fuel conservation.
Illinois Rain Garden Initiative
The Illinois Rain Garden Initiative empowers communities to confront local flooding concerns and restore native Illinois prairie habitats. The Initiative helps public authorities, educational institutions and community organizations find the cheapest and most effective green infrastructure strategies.
Biofuels Investment and Infrastructure Working Group
