Green Governments Coordinating Council
Governments across Illinois are adopting a green way of thinking and operating. The Illinois Green Governments Coordinating Council helps state agencies, units of local government, and educational institutions improve the sustainability of their operations and policies.

Sustainability Planning
The Go Green Planning Pro application helps government agencies assess their sustainability efforts, create sustainability plans and track their progress. State agencies must use the application to comply with the Green Governments Illinois Act. Please note that the Council extended the deadlines in the Act; click here for the schedule of extended deadlines.

Sustainable Government Symposium
The Green Governments Coordinating Council hosts an annual day-long symposium targeted toward state agencies. The 2007 Sustainable Government Symposium took place in December at Department of Natural Resources Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
