“Helping Illinoisans Breathe Easier” Asthma Resource Center
Asthma is a lung disease that can be life threatening, which is chronic, which has no preventative measures and no cure, and which can significantly impact the quality of life of those it affects, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
This website is designed to improve awareness and care to the third leading cause of hospitalization among children under 15 years old. In Cook County more than 100, 000 children have been diagnosed with asthma. Please explore this site to learn more about how you and your family can help Illinoisans breathe easier.
